Empowering the next generation of women in business.

Our History
Women in Business (WIB) at UCSD was formed in 2016 by a group of courageous women and women allies. They shared a vision of promoting diversity in leadership on and off campus. Inspired by the lack of diversity at multiple leadership events, a soon-to-be UCSD graduate rallied other patrons to create a stronger community for women.
After long hours of brainstorming in Price Center and securing funding from various supporters, the founders hosted the first student-led women in business conference at UCSD. As a result, the founders recruited more women and allies for women to help launch the first women-in-business organization in 2017. Fast forward to 2025, Women in Business continues to flourish on campus as one of the largest communities and to inspire women of all backgrounds to advocate for themselves while supporting other women.
